Order the Right Size Bamboo Shade for Your Window

When ordering a bamboo shade, you'll need to decide between an inside or outside mount. This will determine how you measure and order the correct size.

Inside Mount: Order the full window size. We'll make a 3/8" deduction to ensure the shade fits and operates smoothly. Note that a minimum 1.75" window depth is recommended, though 1" depth may work with solid wood frames using one row of bracket holes.

Outside Mount: Order the size you want the finished blind to be. There's no need for deductions, as the side returns will be included. Make sure to order a shade that is taller and wider than your window, adding at least 2" above the window for the brackets.

Custom Size Options: If the standard sizes don't quite fit, you can order a custom size. Simply choose the nearest size available, then message us with your specific measurements. You can also use the "Customize Now" option on the product page.

Privacy Considerations For maximum privacy, choose shades from our Rustic or Natural Wood collections. These feature thick, tightly woven slats that provide enhanced privacy.
